Ok so I know some of y'all have found that we slid our Summer Camps onto the Events Page, but I'm here to officially announce them! And I bet you're asking...Are we going to be indoors or outdoors this summer? Well we behaved so well last year that Mrs. Llorye said we could come to her house again this year!! So AC and pool time!! WE LOVE YOU LLORYE!!
*Medieval Festive Fun Camp! So, a few of us moms are going to Sherwood Forest Adult Camp at the beginning of the Summer. There we're going to learn quite a few new skills there, like chainmail, sewing, leather working, book binding, etc . So I thought what better way to teach our kids these new skills than to start our out summer camp this year with a Medieval camp?! Hazzah!
*Dragon Riders Training Camp I know how much we all LOVE dragons, but unfortunately we'll be at Sherwood for the premiere weekend of the live action How to Train Your Dragon movie... So let's prepare at our Dragon Riding Training Camp! We're making amour and shields, and we'll earn a dragon!
*Book Universe Campout I love this camp. This kids suggested this camp! They wanted to be able to share their favorite books and as we were planning it out, they were so excited to "decorate their universes" so that we could go around to each other's tents and experience them together! So amazing and proud of their creativity. Can't wait to see what they come up with!
*Wicked Wonderful Dinner Camp Ok, so I just recently got bit by the "Wicked" bug too! So much so that we're going to be replacing our Secret Garden Unit Study with a Wizard of Oz Unit Study in the Fall. SHHH! Secret! lol And yes, this is going to be a girly camp, HOWEVER, boys can dress up too! I mean, it's a dinner camp! lol
*Wonka's Candy Factory Camp Now I know, I know, I haven't seen Wonka yet. BUT, I will. And I know there's a candy factory right?! So let's make some candy! Candy can be difficult at the park, so THANK YOU LLORYE FOR HOSTING OUR SUMMER CAMPS AT YOUR HOUSE AGAIN THIS YEAR!!! Everlasting Gobstoppers, Violet Marshmallows, Chocolate Tea Cups...Candy and swimming?! YES!!
*Nevermoor Partymore Camp If you haven't been bit by the "Nevermoor" bug yet, don't worry, you will. lol (Again another spoiler by telling you it will replace our Dragon Warriors Unit Study in the Fall.) This series is amazing! It's perfect in the since that it's very similar to Harry Potter, however there is no witchcraft. It's about a less than ordinary girl gets thrown into a world where people have a magical talent/super power. She has to learn what hers is, after being told that she will never make it...in life, quite literally. From spider vehicles, to magical hotel parties, to a trials...This is going to be fun!
*Series of Unfortunate Events Escape Room Camp Our Theatre Arts kids have definitely been having fun with this series. So much so that we've decided to turn this into a camp. Now most of us have never done an Escape Room before, but never fear, we have some kids that are obsessed. lol Also we're going to make the famous Pasta Puttanesca recipe, minus the spittoon, and more!
*Wizarding World Second-Year Camp Last year we started this series because a few of us mom's go to a Worthwich, a Harry Potter'ish immersion camp for adults. (OMG right!) So I bring back what we learn and we do it in camp! Last year, in Potions we make Iron Gall Ink; in History of Magic we made Anti-Curse Tablets; in Care of Magical Creatures we learned about Kappas; and in Magicalinguistics we made Runes. This year, we're going to make Henna in Herbology/Potions, fortune telling card reading in Divinations, sigils in Charms, bindrunes in Magicalinguistics, and how to greet a Fairy in Fae Lore!
I don't think we can pack any more fun into one summer. To find out more about all the camps, and read all of the details, head over to our Event's Page and click on them. You are able to reserve your spot now. (No getting mad at me if you waited, and something fills up. lol) If you have any questions, message me on Messenger, or via my number (on our Contact Page.)
